.:|:. 15 Seconds Of Fame (Psychosis) .:|:.

[If you've talked to me today or listened to me ramble for a bit, you probably know what/who this is about. And if you haven't but still know what this is about, then send me an im or e-mail or whatever and I'll send you some e-cookies. I've been quite aggrivated by this today, so I decided to write a most horrible poem-y thing. Luckily, watching videos with silly boys in bands makes me smile like a friggin idiot.]
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You’re changing your stand
Like flowing hourglass sand
And you’re on such high demand now
For a glimpse of what used to be
A glass window too clouded to see
This once suburban boy is changing
Chicago-core goes Hollywood preview
And everyone’s got your words
Mr. Magazine’s re-making the scene
I guess you’re the new president
Maybe we all heard wrong when you said
“We’re still the same four boys!”
Because now you’ve moved out of Neverland
The overcast kids lost their Peter pan.
Forever never seemed so short
You’re all growing old.
The music fits the mold
And your face in my mind’s drawing pad.
Scars and stories were steps one and two,
You’re racking in the big bucks now.
You don’t need hometown approval,
It’s time for Chicago removal.
Doctors are cutting the umbilical cord
No more garage band practices missed
One less high school sweetheart kissed
This is called the separation
Watch the camera’s click
Hollywood’s pick of the week
But fifteen becomes sixteen too quick
And the daily interview is now, “what’s for dinner?”
Will you change as quickly as you once did?
And can things ever be the same?

|[ Early Morning Forecast (Late Night Drama) ]|

[Yeah, I was watching tv when I named this... maybe for a little too long. So, if you didn't already get it, the title is kind of influenced by the show list on tv. Get it? They have early morning news and late night drama and crime scene shows. And yes, it is also relevant to the poem, or at least I think it is... well, anyway. I hope someone understands what I'm writing about. Just a hint, it's not just some pointless sex scene in a poem.]
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The steam from our cups danced to the sky
For once, I could just watch you smile
We silenced the world for a brief moment in time
And the world was ours to take and hold

The rain came and washed away your screams
A soft pitter-patter on the closed window
I whispered “I love you”, hot breath against your neck
Your tears I’ll pretend not to see

The sneakers faded into the welcome mat
I told you never to leave me on my own
Your hand locked in mine, my thumb on your cheek
Don’t want to leave you bleeding

The soft moans rolled off your tongue as tears ran like streams
I never wanted to be the reason you cry
But you are my lover and I’m in your skin
And nothing comes without punishment.

|[ Stop Fighting The Power And Get A New Power Of Your Own (Soul Searching) ]|

[Listening to all of my iTunes library, including some of my "oldies" favorites, which aren't actually oldies... but songs that I haven't heard in a year or so. Inspired by a new story I read also. So break down or bury me alive.]
----------------------------------------------------------------
I’m dropping my guard
You’re dropping your pants
And I’m just asking for three words
That you’ve never had

You’re gone by the morning
And I’m lying here
Saying it’s doesn’t hurt
When your hand goes for my leg
Instead of my hand

Did you find everything you wanted?
In one night of pleasure?
Because I’m still wanting more,
I’m still wanting so much more

Did you get exactly what you needed?
When you’re shutting me out?
Because I need a little more,
I just need a little bit more.

I want to give up
On this endless cycle of
One night fucks and one drink too much
Are you waiting for something special?
Because I can’t wait much longer

We’re spinning in and out
Of this black widow’s web
And we’ll come out with nothing at all
Three little words are worth a lifetime

A little bit more, but so much more
Just a little bit more, and so much more.
A little bit more, but so much more
Just a little bit more, and so much more.

Did you find everything you wanted?
In one night of pleasure?
Because I’m still wanting more,
I’m still wanting so much more

Did you get exactly what you needed?
When you’re shutting me out?
Because I need a little more,
I just need a little bit more.

.:|:. Friends Means That All Friendships End .:|:.

[My weeks been pretty crappy. Inspired by a fight with a "friend" or what I though was one. But mostly inspired by just being overwhelmed by everything and just needing to scream nd having to hide the breakdown.]
-----------------------------------------------------------------
A few more fights
With a little less luck.
Are you letting me scream?
Break a few more smiles
With the fiercest fist
That you've got up your sleeve.
Send me a swear
Make me rip out my hair
Am I letting you drive me insane?
Break a nail while
You're dancing in the rain
And let your tears fall apart.
Laugh when you cry,
I know you're breaking inside.
Let's throw a punch at the sky.
I won't let you win,
Or will I?
