{((Sinister Thoughts))}i{((Part 5))}
[Here's the next part. And keep in mind that this is my first swing at a romance scene, so don't remind me how bad it is. I already know that.]
--------------------------------------------------------------
“Damn, ditched and the band sucks ass.” Sinister said with a sigh.
“They’re not the best band, but at least they are playing.” An anonymous voice behind Sinister said.
Her head whipped around, causing Sinister to come face to face with Jake. Their faces mere inches apart.
“Urgh, I’m not sitting here anymore. This music and watching Billie and Riley flirt is making me sick.” Sin said, slowly moving her head away.
“Well, I wouldn’t recommend going upstairs either. Unless of course you want to watch my sis and Kayleb try to hide from each other while stealing glances at the same time. Or better, watch Reesa and whats-his-face, Danny, bite each other’s tongue out.” He told her, the dripping with sarcasm.
“Then how about we go sit on the porch.” Sinister suggested.
‘Whoa, how did Jake and I become a we? We were separate people before. AGH! There goes the “we” again!’ Sinister thought, ‘but what is even stranger, is that he didn’t say anything.’
Together Sinister and Jake walked to the outside of the house to the back porch. It was a little quieter there. Sinister looked up at the stars in he navy blue sky. In silence, the two, without knowing it, had created a very romantic aura surrounding them. But Jake broke the moment by beginning a conversation between the two.
Somehow they ended up sharing everything with each other. All the things they never knew about the other. All the small things, that matter more than most think. Suddenly, the silence returned to the two, sitting side-by-side. Jake broke the silence again. Something, though, was different.
“Sinister…” Jake said, hesitantly.
“Hm-”
Before she was able to finish her word, lips came crashing onto Sin’s. She felt Jake’s warm hand gently cup her cheek, countering the cold metal of the lip-ring to the left of his bottom lip. As Sinister replied to the kiss, the kiss became more and more passionate.
“You’re Charrette’s brother… We can’t…” Sinister said, pulling away and gasping for breath.
“But- don’t pull a Cinderella on me, Sin.” Jake said, grabbing Sinister’s arm to stop her from getting away.
“Sorry, but I’ve got to go Prince Charming.”
She pulled her arm out of his grasp and headed to the basement of the house. There she found Billie, slightly tipsy, still flirting with Riley. Pulling her away, Sinister dragged Billie upstairs to find Charrette. Kayleb and Charrette had begun to talk, finally. Though, this was only because both were dead drunk. When they’re sober, they’re too much in love, and too shy for their own good, to talk to each other. Billie hoisted her up; one of Charr’s arms was draped around Billie’s neck.
Sinister headed over to the couch that was occupied by a Reesa, nearly shirtless, and a Danny sucking at her neck.
“Okay! Time to go, Reesa!” Sinister shouted, attempting to look away.
“Owwie, Sinister’s hurting my ears!” Reesa whined, lightly pushing Danny off.
“Whoa, how many cups of beer did you have?” Billie asked, now behind Sin.
“Um…” Reesa counted over her set of ten fingers over ten times.
“Alright, time to go.” Sinister repeated, hoisting Reesa’s arm over her neck and pulling Reesa’s shirt back down.
Sinister placed Reesa next to Billie, who was squished in the back of the corvette, with Charrette. Sinister started up the car and headed back to Charrette’s house.
‘Wow, long-’ Sinister’s train of thought was interrupted by Billie.
“Umm… Sinister, we’re here…” Billie hinted, hesitantly.
“Oh, yeah...”
Sinister climbed out of the car and helped Billie carry Reesa and Charrette into the house. Unfortunately, carrying two dead drunk people is not easy. Trying to stand up straight, Sinister unlocked the house’s door with the key from Charrette’s pocket. As soon as they closed the door and made their way over to the living room couch, all four collapsed onto either the floor or couch. In the jumbled up pile, the girls drifted off to dreamland.
"Mm… I want the Coke, not the Pepsi… Not the-”
Sinister awoke with a startle. The front door slamming had woken her up. A few feet away from her head, lay her cell phone that flashed two-thirty in the morning. After removing the various limbs draping over her and rubbing her tired eyes, she stood and made her way over to the front door. There stood an extremely tired Jake.
“We need to talk.” Sinister said, dragging Jake back out of the house and closed the door, unlocked.
